Inch by Inch Child Development Center is conveniently located on Crosby Drive in Bedford MA, at the junction of Routes 3 & 62 (just over the Burlington line), with easy access to the Middlesex Turnpike, Burlington’s Mall Road, and Route 95.

We are a Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC) licensed center for ages two months through ten years.

Our goal at Inch by Inch is to provide the utmost in quality and care. We are also sensitive to the lifestyle of today’s parent and we will work closely with you to accommodate your needs. Inch by Inch is open year round from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Our center offers outstanding Infant, Toddler and Preschool programs. We encourage learning that is appropriate to a child’s age, and stage of development.

Our Afterschool program offers transportation to and from the Burlington and Bedford public schools, as well as a Summer Camp program for school aged children throughout the summer. We are open during school and summer vacations, as well as on snow days.

Our Philosophy
Group Day Care:
We believe that children learn by seeing, touching, and manipulating actual objects, and by having concrete experiences. In other words... children learn not so much by "being taught" but through play. Our programs offer "hands on" activities that give children the opportunity to explore the world around them.

Inch by Inch provides a vast variety of materials, experiences, and activities designed to help children develop emotionally, physically, socially, and intellectually. We encourage learning that is appropriate to a child's age and stage of development.

School Aged Program:
We also believe that the time your older child spends at Inch by Inch is important time: a time to explore, have fun, learn, relax, and enjoy new friendships. Our School Age Program is flexible in its design, allowing children the opportunity to make decisions about what they want to do.

Nutrition
Inch by Inch Child Development Center provides a morning and afternoon snack each day. Whole Foods Market is the primary provider of our snacks. We do not serve snacks that contain the following:

Hydrogenated Oils (Trans Fats)
High Fructose Corn Syrup
Artificial Coloring, Preservatives, Flavors
Artificial Sweeteners

If your child will be eating lunch at Inch by Inch, you will need to provide a lunch from home. Microwavable meals/left-overs are more than welcome.

Our Special Staff
The staff at Inch by Inch are warm, nurturing, lisexperienced and trained professionals who enjoy working with children. You will find them knowledgeable in child development, attentive to your child’s needs, and dedicated to providing the highest quality of care. We value our teachers and take special care to ensure their happiness, thus resulting in minimum staff turnover.

Admission/Enrollment
In order to enroll at Inch by Inch Child Development Center, a parent must meet with a Director, complete and enrollment form, along with a $75 non-refundable registration fee. Upon acceptance into a program based on available space, a deposit is required to secure a spot. Inch by Inch does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, culture and heritage, political beliefs, marital status, sexual orientation or sex. Fall Registration

Inch By Inch’s Summer Camp
IBI’s summer camp is legendary for its fun and adventure. Each week, campers participate in a number of activities including field trips, swimming, games, cooking, and more.
Camp duration is 9 weeks, beginning on June 21st, 2010.

*A minimum enrollment of 2 weeks is required.

Tuition
One month’s tuition is due in advance, on either the first or fifteenth of each month. Tuition payments remain the same, regardless of holidays, vacation, illness, or closings beyond our control.

Snow Policy
On January 2nd, 2007 Inch By Inch instituted the following policy for winter weather:

If Bedford Public Schools have a Morning Delay or are Closed, Inch By Inch
will have a 1 hour delay, and will open at 8:00am
** Bedford Public Schools announce delays and closings on all local news stations **

If the Bedford Public Schools are closing early due to inclement weather, Inch By Inch will close 1 hour early, at 5:00pm
** Parents will be notified by phone if Inch By Inch is closing early **

If the State of Massachusetts declares a State of Emergency for our area, Inch By Inch will be closed
